You have DELL MINI 10 and are not able to connect to GPS.

Follow the instructions and you will be good to go.

1 Update the drivers and applications for GPS receiver /

You can get the drivers from the manufactures website (support.dell.com)

2 Add the exceptions in mcafee / Norton whichever you are using on computer.

3 Launch the Dell GPS Wireless application and check if its able to detect any satellites.

4 Install the  Co Pilot application in the system.

Check your package which came with the computer and the software would be on a mini card and plug in and install on computer.

5 Open Co Pilot Application and click on settings and make sure the detection is set to manual.

6 Check the com port and should be same as listed in device manager.

7 Launch the co pilot application and it will show you the current location and you are good to go.

This Article explains how to speed up system using the MSCONFIG command and works on Windows XP /Vista and Windows Seven

Click on Start and Run (in Vista you need to type in Start Search right above the start menu)

Type in MSCONFIG and click on ok

You should see System Configuration window

Click on STARTUP and then DISABLE ALL which is on the bottom right corner

The only service I would recommend you to enable is the antivirus which could be Mcafee /Norton/Trend Micro depending upon the application that you are using on your computer.

The second would be the Wireless which could be Dell wireless / Intel Wireless.

Just put a check mark in front of these and click on apply

Now Click on Services right in front of Startup

Click on Hide all microsoft services (make sure its done)

Then disable all and enable only anti virus / wireless services

Now Click on Apply and then Close and Restart

You will note a great change in Loading of Windows.
