This Article explains how to speed up system using the MSCONFIG command and works on Windows XP /Vista and Windows Seven
Click on Start and Run (in Vista you need to type in Start Search right above the start menu)
Type in MSCONFIG and click on ok
You should see System Configuration window
Click on STARTUP and then DISABLE ALL which is on the bottom right corner
The only service I would recommend you to enable is the antivirus which could be Mcafee /Norton/Trend Micro depending upon the application that you are using on your computer.
The second would be the Wireless which could be Dell wireless / Intel Wireless.
Just put a check mark in front of these and click on apply
Now Click on Services right in front of Startup
Click on Hide all microsoft services (make sure its done)
Then disable all and enable only anti virus / wireless services
Now Click on Apply and then Close and Restart
You will note a great change in Loading of Windows.
